Our Facilities at The Lodge

Bedrooms

Every bedroom is different in shape, décor and outlook but all rooms are light and spacious, many overlooking the landscaped gardens. Residents are encouraged to bring in pictures and personal items with which to make their room personal and familiar. All rooms have a TV point and a remote call bell system.

All rooms are ensuite, most having their own wet room including shower, toilet and washbasin.

There is a separate bathroom with an Argo bath lift.

All residents clothing is laundered in-house.

Sitting rooms

Inside, there are various seating areas where you can opt to sit with other residents, watch TV, have a visit from friends and family, or find a quiet area to read, admire the landscaped gardens or just sit in quiet contemplation.

All indoor areas are furnished with comfortable chairs in small groups. The main lounge and the has large picture windows looking out over the beautifully landscaped gardens.  Residents and their visitors can meet in any of these spaces, or in residents’ own rooms.

Dining Room

The Lodge has two beautifully decorated dining rooms where you can enjoy high-quality, homemade traditional food, which is freshly prepared by our chef using local fresh and seasonal produce.  You are welcome to invite your family or friends to dine with you.

Garden

The garden is easily accessible with a wheelchair-friendly path leading to garden benches for sitting out on sunny days. Green-fingered residents may enjoy pottering in the garden if they wish, planting out or deadheading.

Recreation

There is always something going on at The Lodge. Throughout the year we have visiting entertainers, regular exercise to music, singing sessions, quizzes, parties, films, and creative activities for all who wish to take part.

Hairdressing

We have a weekly visit from a professional hairdresser who offers our residents haircuts and re-styles in the comfort of the purpose-built salon.

Chiropody

A qualified chiropodist visits every 6 weeks to ensure that our resident’s foot care is maintained.
